Is web designing same as coding?

Website developers convert the work of web designers into a fully functional website using coding languages such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc. In addition, they manage the technical work behind the scenes of websites that require advanced coding and programming knowledge. Another difference between web design and web development is that designers don't usually write code. The main difference between web design and web development is that, while web designers create visual resources that add aesthetic value to the site (and improve the user experience), web developers are responsible for creating those functionalities. Web developers take the blueprints (wireframes) designed by web designers and lay the foundation for a solid and structurally sound website.

Adobe Dreamweaver stands out among the Adobe suite for its unique ability to integrate visual design with code editing, allowing you to create and view changes in real time without needing in-depth coding knowledge. Usually, a web designer hands over their designs to a web developer, who then brings the designs to life through coding. The website creation process primarily requires a person (or people) with two unique skills in web design and development. While web design is included in visual design, which also includes UX design, user interface design, graphic design, digital design, and product design, web designers who know how to program, especially those who have higher-level skills such as Sass, Bootstrap, and JavaScript, are in HIGH demand.

Web designers pay attention to the way their user experience designs and visual elements affect users, as well as the appearance of the website, and then leave their plans and designs for a web developer to code. They generally use programs such as Figma and Adobe XD to create outlines of the layout and general design of the website. As I mentioned earlier, although there are exceptions, a web designer usually doesn't know how to code a complete website. Web development and web design are not inherently more or less challenging; your particular strengths and weaknesses will determine which path of least resistance is for you.

It's not uncommon to find a developer with basic design knowledge or a designer who knows HTML and CSS. However, if you're looking for an expert web designer or developer, you can expect to pay more than the average fees. A front-end developer writes code that determines how the website displays the web designer's concepts.
